Location:
The cave system is located primarily under the property
of the Beacon Woods subdivision in Hudson (near corner of Hwy 19 and Hwy 52).
Description:
The cave system has a normal visibility of 10-15
feet and has numerous haloclines, hydrogen sulfide layers, and clouds of
bacteria lining the walls. The average depth of most of the system is 150
feet making it a trimix cave. There are several access point such as Round
Sink and Nexxus Sink as well as several other
karst windows (Stratamax, Golfball, Briars, and Smokehouse) around the
area (including a few on the golf course). There is an ongoing project
to explore, line, and map the system. Several articles have been published
