Big Dismal Sink


Location:
    This area of the Apalachicola National Forest contains more than a dozen wet as well as dry sinkholes. It is located about seven miles south of Tallahassee on U.S. Highway 319 and is well marked by high way signs.

Description:
    Big and nasty cave and entrance into the Leon Sinks cave system. The WKPP does extensive mapping of this and other area systems. The GUE link can be found here. Neither swimming nor diving is allowed here.
