Location:
Naples Spring is located 27 miles from Naples in
the Gulf of Mexico. This remote site is usually only visited by liveboards
on their way to or from the Dry Tortugas.
Description:
This is a drowned sinkhole similiar to Green Banana
and Amberjack Sinks in the Gulf of Mexico. Maximum depth is around 224
with the top of the mound around 180. The opening in the bottom of the
gulf is at 70 feet and is surrounded by reef sponges.
