Description:
The cave here (through dye testing) connects with
Knight Sink and Lake Tarpon Sink. Visibility is usually very poor, but
you can sometimes get something decent during high tide. This is the site
of the annual Greek Epiphany event where the archbishop throws a cross
for several boys to retrieve. The one who obtains the cross is blessed
and said to have good luck for the following year. The steep concrete sides
make entry and egress difficult if the water is low.
